The Approach is pleased to present November to November a solo exhibition by Simone Kennedy Doig, her first in London.

Kennedy Doig’s paintings draw on the people, places and everyday encounters of her life between London and Trinidad. Working from memory, she transforms scenes of social and domestic life – from crowded streets and bars to moments of intimacy – into vividly coloured compositions. Her work explores belonging, displacement, identity and the relationships between women, balancing the specificity of lived experience with a sense of imagined and remembered space.

Simone Kennedy Doig (b. 1994, London, UK) lives and works in London.
